The story

From the corporate ladder to the bar

Eleven years ago I was where most people start: grinding alone in parks with no coach, no plan, and no idea if I'd ever be strong enough. I followed random workouts and hoped something would click. It didn't.

What changed everything wasn't motivation — it was structure. Systems. Treating training like a discipline instead of a hobby. That shift took me from a struggling beginner to the national stage, and eventually to a decision most people wouldn't make: walking away from a Big 4 corporate career to coach calisthenics full-time.

Today I compete at the highest level — Oceania Champion, 2x NZ National Champion, and ranked #29 in the world. Now I coach athletes who want to get there without wasting the years I wasted figuring it out alone.

Philosophy

Mastery over motivation

  • Discipline beats motivation. Motivation fades by Wednesday. Systems carry you through the whole year.
  • Your body is your temple. You build it deliberately — brick by brick, session by session.
  • Structure creates freedom. When the plan is handled, all you do is show up and execute.
